BTP hosts successful info session for the EOC
Bureau Telecommunications St. Maarten (BTP) organized a highly successful information session last week on High Frequency (HF) radio as a robust backup communication option. The event, held at the Sint Maarten Fire Station, was attended by the EOC, telecom operators, and esteemed guests, including the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, the Honorable Silveria Jacobs.

With its 192 member countries, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) is the primary forum for cooperation between postal sector players. As Sint Maarten, Curacao, and Aruba jointly share the same seat in the UPU, representatives from the sister countries convened in Sint Maarten early this month in a preparatory meeting to discuss the proposals that will be presented during UPU’s upcoming Extraordinary Congress.

Courtesy visit by PUC Anguilla to Minister of TEATT

on May 24th, 2023, a delegation of technical experts from the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) of Anguilla paid a courtesy visit to the honorable Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication, Mr. Arthur Lambriex. This visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations, foster collaboration between Sint Maarten and Anguilla, and discuss matters of mutual interest within the telecommunications sector, such as spectrum usage, and new technologies.
