Sint Maarten (.SX) new LACTLD member

Published on: Jun 27, 2012
On June 25th, SX Registry which manages the .SX domain representing the country code of Sint Maarten, officially joined Latin America and the Caribbean TLD Association during the 44th ICANN Meeting in Prague. SX Registry's CEO, Normand Fortier stated that: "It was most important for Sint Maarten to join this association as Sint Maarten will now have an equal voice regarding Top Level Domain issues, along with Aruba, Curaçao and Anguilla who are already members.
Most importantly, being part of the LACTLD will help us promote Sint Maarten's identity across the Internet."

Mr. Fortier signed the application which was formally accepted by the President of the Association, Eduardo Santoyo (.co – Colombia). Mr. Santoyo confirmed that: "Sint Maarten is now an official member of the Latin America and the Caribbean TLD association. We also hope to hold one of our association working meetings in Sint Maarten within the next few months." More information on this meeting will be available shortly.

SX Registry SA provides registry services for Sint Maarten's .SX Internet extension or TLD.
