Internet Seminar Hosted By Isoc And Btp-sxm About To Kick-of

PHILIPSBURG – Internet Society (ISOC) & Bureau Telecommunications and Post St. Maarten, in their ongoing efforts to facilitate and support the technical evolution of internet, will be hosting a two day Internet Seminar on September 25th & 26th at the Sonesta MAHO Beach Resort. During this event top industry experts, technologists and policy leaders from across the region and globe will discuss the future trends on an open, accessible and secured Internet.
The experts will be covering a wide range of topics including; “global internet landscape, the future of internet, domain name system, IPv4 depletion & IPv6 transition, cyber security" whereby the local business sector gets the great opportunity to have in-depth discussions with the leading experts.

Mr. Giovanni M. King, Chief Operating Officer of BTP-SXM, said: “We are very pleased with this special collaboration between the ISOC and BTP-SXM. We were able to bring captains of industry to St. Maarten and they are going to give lectures on the development of the internet, discuss case studies and share their knowledge and experience with government and local businesses. We are convinced that the audience will learn a lot from the sessions and we are truly hoping that all participants will embrace the ongoing technological developments and the digital evolution as much as we do”.

Some of the participants are: government policy makers, telecom operators, local businesses, internet service providers, ICT sector and St. Maarten hospitality industry.
