The North American Numbering Plan (NANP) is the telephone numbering plan shared by the United States, Canada and most of the Caribbean region. People in all NANP countries can call each other using the same dialing scheme, without the need for dialing a country Access Code or any other special dialing patterns.

The North American Numbering Plan serves 20 countries (25 territories) that have the same telephone numbering format. All countries part of the NANP have country code: 1.

Calls between NANP countries or territories are still considered international calls and charged accordingly.
